Furniture assembly in Burnaby, Done Properly

Flat-pack furniture is cheaper to buy and slower to build than anyone expects. A wardrobe can take hours. A bed frame needs two people. A desk ends up with a wobble because one cam lock wasn’t turned all the way. And the tall pieces need anchoring to the wall, which is the step most people skip.

We assemble furniture for homes across Burnaby, from a single bookcase to a whole move-in day. We build it square, tighten every connector properly, fit doors and drawers so they line up, and anchor tall pieces to the wall. Then we flatten the boxes and leave the room ready to use.

Anchored to the Wall, Every Time

Tall dressers, bookcases and wardrobes can tip over if a child climbs them or a drawer is pulled out too far. Most flat-pack furniture comes with an anti-tip kit, and it’s the part most likely to end up in a drawer unused. We install it, into a stud where we can or with the right anchor where we can’t.

On concrete condo walls, we use masonry anchors. If your building restricts drilling, we’ll talk through other options before we start.

Move-In Day in a Burnaby Condo

Moving into a tower at Metrotown, Brentwood or Lougheed usually means a booked elevator slot and a pile of flat boxes. We can come the same week, build everything, and take away the cardboard so it doesn’t sit in your hallway waiting for the recycling room.

For townhouses and houses, we’ll carry pieces to the right rooms, check that big items fit up the stairs before they’re built, and set up beds and wardrobes where you want them.

FAQ

Furniture Assembly: Questions

How long does furniture assembly take?

It depends on the piece. A small bookcase is quick; a large wardrobe with sliding doors takes much longer. Tell us the items and we’ll tell you roughly how much of a visit they’ll fill.

Will you take away the boxes?

We break down the cardboard and stack it neatly. If you’d like it taken away, just ask when you book.

Can you fix furniture someone else assembled?

Yes. Wobbly desks, sagging shelves and drawers that won’t close are usually a loose connector or a missed step. We can usually fix it without rebuilding the whole piece.

Do you assemble furniture from any store?

Yes. IKEA, Wayfair, Structube, Costco and anything else that comes flat-packed with instructions.
