Doorknob and impact holes
Cut clean, backed, patched and taped so the repair stays flat and doesn’t crack later.
Drywall & ceilings
From a doorknob hole to a cracked ceiling, we patch, sand and paint so the repair disappears.

Drywall takes a beating. A door swings too hard and leaves a round hole. A TV comes off the wall and leaves anchor holes. The house settles and a crack runs up from the corner of a doorway. A small leak upstairs leaves a brown ring on the ceiling. None of it is a big job, but all of it is the kind of thing that sits on the list for months.
We repair drywall in condos, townhouses and houses across Burnaby. Small dings get filled and sanded. Bigger holes get a proper patch with backing, tape and several thin coats of compound. Then we prime and paint the repair so it matches the wall around it, which is the step most quick fixes skip.
What’s included
Cut clean, backed, patched and taped so the repair stays flat and doesn’t crack later.
Settling cracks opened up, taped and feathered out, not just filled and painted over.
Fastener reset, the spot re-coated and sanded so the bumps stop showing through the paint.
Once the leak is fixed, we cut out soft board, patch, seal the stain and repaint.
Holes from moving out or re-hanging, filled and blended into the wall.
The repair primed and painted, or the whole wall repainted if a spot won’t blend.

Good drywall repair is mostly patience. We cut the damage back to solid board, add backing where the hole needs it, and set the patch flush with the wall. Joints get paper or mesh tape, then two or three thin coats of compound, each one wider than the last, with drying time between.
We sand with a light hand and check the patch with a work light held flat to the wall, because that’s how you see a ridge before the paint does. Then the spot gets primer, so it doesn’t flash through the finish coat, and paint to match.
The fix depends on the size of the damage. Here’s how we approach the most common ones.

In Metrotown and Brentwood towers, many walls between suites and corridors are concrete, but the interior partitions are drywall, and they take the knocks from move-ins and furniture. We work quietly, keep the dust contained with drop cloths and a vacuum, and follow the building’s rules for working hours.
In older houses around Burnaby Heights, Capitol Hill and South Slope, you’ll often find cracks where the house has settled over decades. Some of those walls are older plaster or a mix of plaster and drywall from past repairs. We look first, tell you what we see, and repair it to match.

FAQ
Most Burnaby condo and house walls are smooth with an eggshell or matte finish, and those blend well. If you have the leftover paint, we’ll use it. If not, we can match the colour from a chip, or repaint the full wall so there’s no visible edge.
Compound needs drying time between coats, so a proper patch takes more than one quick pass. On a longer to-do list we work on other tasks while each coat dries, which makes the visit go further.
No. We don’t do electrical, gas or plumbing work. Those trades need a licensed specialist, and we’re happy to tell you when a job on your list needs one. Once the leak is fixed, we repair and repaint the ceiling.
Often, yes. Small cracks and holes in plaster can be repaired and blended. If a section is loose or crumbling, we’ll explain the options before starting.
